Dr. Von Threadmore had some opps thread that was calling my name and this Stumpy bookmark is a result of some of this thread. This is her blues and greens continuous variegated. I usually don't have the money in my tatting fund for HDT, but thankfully the fund had some money. I recently discovered that I have given away all of my tatting (except for the ones that went into the trash) and I decided that I needed my own bookmark. So this one is mine and no one elses!!
That turned out really pretty. I have fallen in love with Dr. Vonthreadmore's oops threads because you never know what you're going to get but the results always seem to be wonderful- and the price for the threads is lower than most HDTs.
ReplyDeleteYou need to work at keeping pieces of your work for yourself. My mother is a wonderful hand quilter and has none of her own work- the only one I remember her having was one she helped my grandma quilt not knowing it was to be a gift for her for Christmas. She thoroughly wore it out using it on her bed for many years.
It's beautiful! :) Reminds me of looking into the woods where we used to live and seeing all the beautiful color changes in greens. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! You deserve it, too.
ReplyDeleteI know that I need to keep more. The kitten is getting to keep some of my tatting so at least it will stay in the family :)
