Balloons and tatting?

What does a balloon, a balloon pump, and a glob of tatting have in common? Any ideas? I'll tell you tomorrow!!

  3. This looks like it might be a 3-D egg! When I tatted my 3-D eggs back in 1992, I did them in two sections and connected them together after each half was stiffened over an egg form.

I knew that crocheters used balloons to shape their 3-D crochet items but haven't tried it yet, although I did recently buy some balloons! I've never seen a balloon pump before (other than those commercial ones at the stores), but realize that this 'mechanical' version could be the easiest way to blow up the balloon!!! I look forward to your post tomorrow!

  5. Some great ideas. You will see soon what I created :)

I have the balloon pump because I do a bit of balloon art (usually animals), but always because I cannot blow up a balloon at all.

  6. I remember papier mache on a balloon. Are you tatting mache? This will be interesting.
